NOTE REGARDING NC17 MATERIAL: When requesting NC17 chapters or stories please give an age statement. I don't need to know your actual age, or birthday (and I don't need to see a copy of your driver's license for proof). Simply saying "I'm of legal age" or "I'm older than 17" is sufficient. I know someone can easily lie about this, and some people think it's ridiculous I have this policy about my NC17 material. However, to my way of thinking, if you lie -- then it's on your conscience, not mine -- and this way there's at least one barrier between children and stories that have themes a bit too "adult" for their maturity level. -- Valjean |

These are stand-alone stories, 50-90 pages long each, that are in sequence as if they're episodes of DA Season 4 (a.k.a. DARK ALEC). They begin not too long after the novel AFTER THE DARK ends, in 2022, and incorporate material from the television show, the three novels, and THE EYES ONLY DOSSIER (but are totally separate from all previous stories I've written).
I've also made use of illustrations picturing "guest stars" (and regular characters) in the stories to give more of a feel that these truly are "episodes" of an ongoing series.
There are a few premises that can be taken for granted, the main ones being as follows: Max and Logan have split up for good (the reasons of which will not be spelled out directly at first); and Max and Alec have become rather adversarial, antagonistic (but extremely devoted) lovers. The transgenics are still in Terminal City, making a go of The Terminal City Artworks Mall as a money-making venture. However, the X5s (and some of the others as well) occasionally contract out to New Manticore for rather well-paying missions, during which time they're under Colonel Donald Lydecker's command. Lydecker even has an office on the outskirts of TC where he recruits transgenics for specific purposes and keeps tabs on his "kids."
This makes for some interesting situations, and hopefully readers will enjoy new "Alec" adventures. -- Valjean |
